INNOCEAN Worldwide(“INNOCEAN”) launches a new stand-alone global media business operation in partnership with the largest independent media agency in the US.
On August 13, INNOCEAN and Horizon Media held a JV agreement signing ceremony at 23rd floor of INNOCEAN’s Seoul HQ. INNOCEAN should be able to create positive synergy in the market with access to Horizon Media’s leading media capabilities, tools and technology.
The new joint venture “Canvas Worldwide” will handle all media duties for Hyundai and KIA in the US from January 2016. The transition will immediately start from next month from the incumbent current agency. It will eventually be a full-fledged media agency with about 250 employees working at two main offices in NY and LA and regional offices in Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta by the end of this year.
While INNOCEAN has local media partners managing its media planning and buying in foreign countries except for China, it plans to continue to build its media practice throughout the world starting with this JV launch in the US.
INNOCEAN’s Global CEO Ahn, Kun-Hee stated,“Building a global media network has never been attempted by any Korean advertising agencies before,” adding, “following the success of establishing China Media Center in 2013 and a JV with Horizon Media today, INNOCEAN will continuously strive to build its credentials as a legitim ate and competitive global media agency by 2020.”
Bill Koenigsberg, President, CEO and Founder of Horizon Media, who visited INNOCEAN HQ for the JV agreement signing, said, “We are excited to form a partnership with Korea’s leading advertising company,” adding, “We are operating in a media landscape and a business environment that is in flux. Today anything is possible and you must
be inventing the future and creating new opportunities.”
