INNOCEAN Worldwide(“INNOCEAN”) held the 3rd Global Creative Council(“GCC”) meeting in Cannes, the host city of the advertising industry’s largest event, Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity(“Cannes Lions”). Together with Bob Isherwood, INNOCEAN’s Worldwide Creative Advisor, a total of 8 leading creators of the global network including Greg Braun(IWA), Gerald Schoenhoff(IWCa), Simon Duffy(IWCa), Jamie Colonna(IWE), Saurabh Dasgupta(IWI), Scott Lambert(IWAu), Eddie Wong(IWC) and Jung-A Kim(HQ), in addition to two visiting creative directors from HQ, attended the 3rd meeting.
Global CEO Ahn, Kun-Hee stopped by Palais des Festivals to look at this year’s winning works and encourage INNOCEAN delegates to fully enjoy the festival, before joining the GCC meeting. With Global CEO Ahn, Kun-Hee present at the meeting, GCC members evaluated INNOCEAN’s Cannes Lions entries for 2014 and discussed plans for next year. At the 3rd GCC meeting, Global CEO Ahn, Kun-Hee stated, “As GCC is formed of our global network’s finest creators, a great synergy through aggressive communications is expected,” adding, “I hope that each member puts in his or her best effort to achieve INNOCEAN’s ultimate goal, to arise as a ‘true global marketing communications company’,”
Jung-A Kim, ECD, was selected as Cannes Lions 2014 jury of Cyber category, which highlights best online creatives such as websites and interactive campaigns. On another note, INNNOCEAN again served as the exclusive sponsor of Cannes Lions’ opening and closing galas, following 2012 and 2013, for three consecutive years. INNOCEAN also built a parvis nearby the entrance of Palais des Festivals for delegates to rest between seminars and other extracurricular activities.
Meanwhile, the 61st Cannes Lions, which was held from June 15 to 21, introduced a new category, Product Design, while receiving a total of 34,301 entries this year.
